Cardiff Council’s executive is to give its verdict on the contentious reorganisation of schools in the Whitchurch area of the city next week. Officers are recommending that the council goes ahead with a fourth option recently added following a series of public consultations in 2009. Under this preferred option, Whitchurch High - Wales’ largest secondary - would downsize, and two English-medium primaries would close to be replaced by smaller Welsh- and English-medium primaries.
