The National Foundation for Educational Research is advertising for a new director to replace Seamus Hegarty who is retiring. Mr Hegarty, 59, has held the job since 1994 and is acclaimed for his research into special educational needs. He was recently elected chair of the International Association for the Evaluation of Educational Achievement.
