As a follow-up to the article “From tiny decisions great leaders grow”
(TES, April 6), we would like to point out that the “scheme” referred to was a research project carried out jointly by children, their teachers and two University of East Anglia researchers (ourselves) over a period of a year to investigate and develop their participation in decision-making in their schools and their own lives.
A report of this project, Children Decide: power, participation and purpose in the primary classroom, can be obtained by email. Please contact: libby.allen@uea.co.uk
