EASITRAX JOYSTICK. Inclusive Technology. pound;129. www.inclusive.co.uk

For those who want or need joystick control rather than a mouse, EasiTrax is a new option. This simple, unobtrusive box the size of a hand will plug into any USB socket and be ready to use immediately. It is lightweight, and can be taken from computer to computer with no problem - there is a PS2 adaptor available if needed for older computers.

Very straightforward to use, the small joystick is sensitive and can be activated using one finger to make the pointer move on-screen. The further the joystick is moved, the faster the pointer travels across the screen.

Above the joystick are three buttons each with dual functions - a light comes on to show which is in use. The left-hand button duplicates a left-hand mouse button for single and double-clicking. However, press for more than a second and it drags without holding the button down, click again to release. The right-hand button duplicates the right-hand mouse button and also allows you to drag a selected area and gives menu options when you release. The middle button allows a scroll function for the joystick or lets you change the cursor speed. Quick to master, it is unobtrusive and effective.
