The Resource Conference and Exhibition 2001 features more than 80 ICT companies, with 13 seminars focusing on use of ICT in the curriculum. The annual event, which is held at Doncaster Racecourse Exhibition Centre, is ideal for ICT co-ordinators and non-specialist ICT teachers who want to avoid the overwhelming scale of the Bett show but who still need to keep in touch with what’s happening in educational technology.
This year’s seminars include contributions from Ralph Tabberer, chief executive of the Teacher Training Agency; Nigel Paine, the director of Science Year; and Nick Austin from Teachers Evaluating Educational Multimedia.
On the exhibition front, the big suppliers such as Viglen and Granada Learning will be there, alongside a host of smaller companies that you may not see at Bett. Entrance to the exhibition and keynote addresses are free but seminars cost pound;7 each (pound;15 for three). For booking information call 020 7958 4931 or register online at www.ect.hobsons.com
