PRIMARY and secondary pupils in Clackmannan are pretty much agreed: they do not treat teachers with the fairness and respect they themselves receive in class.

The admission comes in a survey on citizenship in two secondaries and one primary. While some 78 per cent of pupls taking part agreed that teachers treat pupils fairly, there was a good news message for MSPs, with more than six out of 10 pupils saying that politics is important and should be taught in school.

Concerns include war, violence, pollution and inequalities .
