New teachers are being asked to gauge whether their training prepared them for the realities of the classroom, as part of a survey being carried out by the Teacher Training Agency.
The TTA is asking newly qualified teachers to provide feedback on their teacher training courses to determine which areas could have been more effectively covered. Teaching graduates who are not yet practising are also invited to comment on their training experience and future career plans.
The TTA has conducted such surveys annually for the past five years, and results are used to help develop and modify teacher training programmes.
