Does Paul Wagstaff really believe that key stage Sats results will improved next year? I may be a cynic but, given that KS1 results (unpublished, low-stakes and no targets) form the basis for KS2 value-added scores (high-stakes, published and the basis of Ofsted judgments), I would confidently predict a further fall in KS1 results in the coming years.
