Roald Dahl wrote down the plot of Matilda in his ideas book more than 20 years before he developed it. If you’d like to get your class into creative notebook habits, the Roald Dahl Museum and Story Centre (see feature, page 8) is a good place to start. The museum is offering a class set of 35 of its unique ideas books, full of story-building tips from the great man and otherwise only available to visitors, plus 35 Roald Dahl pencils. To enter our draw, tell us what Charlie had to win to gain entry to Willy Wonka’s chocolate factory.

* Send your answers on a postcard or email marked Juggler or Dahl to Friday magazine at the TES address, or by email to friday@tes.co.uk. Don’t forget to include your name, address and contact phone number. Entries close June 2.
