Madonna has beaten Mozart as the musical accompaniment to revision.

A survey by Lloyds TSB bank reveals that more than half of pupils questioned listen to music while studying.

Thirty-seven per cent listen to pop music, compared with 17 per cent who listen to classical music and opera.

The least popular music to study to is rap and hip-hop, preferred by just 2 per cent of respondents.
