Reluctant readers of both sexes are being catered for thanks to a new range of books from Rising Stars, publishers of educational books, revision guides and software. Following the launch late last year of their Boys Rule! series, the company has followed through with a companion series for girls entitled Girls Rock! Both series have been written with the less able or more reluctant reader in mind, with funny storylines aimed especially at children in Years 3 to 6 with a reading age of 7 to 8. The format allows children of mixed or similar ability to read together in pairs; the books are also ideal for reading at home with a parent or sibling.
