I refer to the article “Bill’s new rights for new needs” (TESS, March 14), in particular the claim about “a vocal campaign being led by Independent Special Education Advice”. This is factually incorrect.
It is Record of Needs Alert (RONA) which is leading the campaign and ISEA (Scotland) is just one of a number of voluntary organisations which is supporting its main objections to the proposed legislation.
However, members of our committee and our staff are personally involved in RONA’s main body as parents who have children with special educational needs. Both organisations are independent.
I would be grateful if you could please acknowledge the error in next week’s addition.
