Mr Mackenzie was contributing to a seminar on leadership run by The TES Scotland as part of our 40th anniversary celebrations (Scotland Plus this week).

Leadership at all levels is important, Mr Mackenzie said, and the inspectorate’s focus on heads makes staff feel “a little miffed” when they read reports about schools.
