Edinburgh achieved notable results at last week’s British Schools’ Head of the River races on the Thames, rowed over four-and-a-quarter miles from Mortlake to Putney. George Watson’s College won the junior coxed fours race and George Heriot’s won the junior girls’

coxed fours and came second in the under-16 coxed fours.
