The Royal Botanic Gardens near Haywards Heath in West Sussex is undertaking one of the biggest plant conservation projects in the world. Over the next 10 years, the millennium seed bank project aims to preserve 0 per cent of all seed-bearing flora. Visitors can find out more at the learning centre, laboratories and workshops. Admission: free for schools.
