Scottish Rugby is providing coaching clinics for teachers and coaches involved with the under-15 to under-18 pathways programme.

A three-day course took place at Madras College in St Andrews last weekend. Another will be held at Inverclyde on June 24-26.

“We hope that these courses will help coaches raise players’ awareness and game understanding,” says Henry Edwards, Scottish Rugby’s coach education manager.

“They also allow us to raise the coaches’ awareness of how to develop game sense and introduce the requirements of preparation for playing on the international stage.

“This is not just for the benefit of elite coaches but for all who are working with our best young stars.”
