The Assembly government is to launch a high-profile marketing campaign to recruit teachers for its Welsh-language immersion sabbaticals. The campaign will include bilingual recruitment flyers, and the roll-out of regional taster sessions in the autumn. The application round for the first pilot programme, in January 2006, will open in September. The pilots will continue until 2007. As TES Cymru reported in May, the Assembly has set aside pound;2 million a year for the three-year pilot.
