Magic Time Buddy and bubbly police car, Daisy are set to continue their madcap adventures well into the future as ITV have commissioned Dream Street for a further 26, ten-minute episodes. As part of its “learning through fun” ethos, which producers say, “embraces social and life skills”, Dream Street Productions have also launched a Get Street Wise website that aims to develop the road saety awareness of children and parents. This has interactive games, guidance and information. Dream Street is designed for children aged between three and seven and was the only pre-school show nominated for the 2000 British Broadcasting Awards. Its educational and moral message has been developed with Dr Loretta Long, who worked on Sesame Street. Website: www.getstreetwise.com.
