The Secondary Heads Association is also seeking clear guidance from the education and health departments as it reckons that at least 1,000 schools could potentially benefit from payments for siting masts on their roofs. The Local Government Association has accused the Government of "dithering" over the potential dangers. It says masts should not be erected until conclusive evidence shows there is no danger. The National Radiological Protection Board has so far concluded that any danger is minimal.
