Private schools in Saudi Arabia have been warned by the education ministry not to exceed the stipulated classroom limit of 25 pupils, Saudi Gazette has reported. “We remind schools that the Penalty Law allows for fines of up to SR 5,000 for every pupil above and beyond that number,” the ministry said in a recently-issued circular. Schools in Saudi Arabia are required to provide each pupil with a minimum seating area of 1.5 sq m.
