A secondary school with a sixth form could save pound;7,000 per year if it managed to cut its water and energy bills by 20 per cent.
How it could achieve that target is set out in a new guide available from the Funding Agency for Schools, the quango that oversees grant-maintained schools’ finance. It tells you how to monitor your school’s fuel and water consumption and how to develop a cost-efficient and green approach.
