Today The TES launches TES Direct, a hotline service set up to save teachers time, money and effort. Readers can now order a range of publications reviewed throughout The TES with one phone call, and pick up discounts on selected titles.

To order, check the reviews pages in Friday magazine every week, today’s School Management supplement and future editions of Online and TES Curriculum Specials. Reviews indicate which titles can be ordered on TES Direct (tel 020 8324 5119) with a maximum postage and packing charge of 99p per order. TES Direct hopes to offer discounts on CD-Roms and videos as well as textbooks, management handbooks and other key titles from educational and trade publishers. This wek’s savings include:

* pound;3 off Monitoring and Evaluation for School Improvement by Mazda Jenkin, Jeff Jones and Sue Lord, published by Heinemann (RRP pound;27.99, TES price pound;24.99; reviewed on page 11, School Management).
