Tanya Lawrence, a singing and theatre arts teacher at the Winfield Study Trust in Leyland, Lancashire, has designed one-day vocal workshops for classroom teachers.
“A teacher’s voice is their most essential tool, yet few receive any formal vocal training,” she says. “I can help teachers care for and use their voices. Using simple songs, pitch and breathing training, teachers will learn to project their voices without strain, improve tone and modulation - helping them hold pupils’ attention.”
