A Europe-wide competition to design an anti-discrimination poster has been launched by the European Commission, with the top prize a visit to the European institutions in Brussels.

The competition challenges youngsters to create a poster illustrating “Together Against Discrimination”. Participants will be divided into two age categories (12-14 and 15-18) and must work in groups of at least four. The entries will be judged first at national level, and prizes will be awarded to the three best teams in each age category at ceremonies to be held in each country on November 20, International Children’s Rights Day.

The winners of the first competition will compete in a second round at European level. The three top teams in each age group will be invited to Brussels for three days in December for a tour of the city and the European institutions and to attend a European award ceremony hosted by Franco Frattini, vice-president of the European Commission.
