A north London school is fighting the deportation of two Iranian pupils and their mother.

Quintin Kynaston comprehensive believes the family, which has had two applications for asylum rejected, would be in grave danger if sent back to Iran.

The eldest boy and his mother have been convicted in absentia of associating with groups opposing the Iranian regime, which they deny. He faces five years jail and 70 lashes, his mother seven years and 100 lashes.

The school has helped the family prepare a further appeal for asylum and has organised a demonstration and petition.
