Schools blamed for lack of study skills

Undergraduates feel they lack vital skills needed for university study, according to a survey. It shows that 94 per cent of current university students feel their school or college could have prepared them better for the academic rigour of university. Half of 1,000 current first-year university students feel they lacked the necessary independent study and research skills when they arrived. The survey was carried out by University of Cambridge International Examinations.
