The 10th National Schools Film Week runs from October 31-November 4, with films for all pupils showing free in 19 towns across Scotland.
Secondary students can study movies from around the world, on issues from immigration to religion. Reviews will be examined in workshops by critics, and marketing bosses from distribution companies will look at how films are promoted.
Primary children can see Whale Rider, The Apple, The Cup and My Life as a Dog, which provide a way into different cultures, and professional storytellers will introduce some to develop their awareness of the art of storytelling.
