It’s the equivalent of an Ofsted inspection of the people who supply ICT systems, except it’s carried out by schools. The annual Performance Indicator Survey carried out by the British Educational Communications and Technology Agency looks like becoming a useful force in keeping school suppliers on their toes.

Clear leader in customer satisfaction and support was RM, with Fujitsu-Siemens getting a “significant increase” on the previous year’s findings. The overall message is: “Schools that make their own purchasing decisions and buy computer equipment from sources they select themselves tend to be more satisfied with the current purchasing policy arrangements.”

Full results will be released at the BETT show next week.
