High-quality videos designed to help support the science curriculum in Scottish schools have been launched by Learning and Teaching Scotland and media and design company LL Online.
Glow Science is a new video-based learning resource, designed to enhance pupils’ understanding of science in the modern world. The first batch of videos focuses on the human body.
Jenny Hewitt, biology teacher at Hyndland Secondary in Glasgow, who trialled the new resources, said: “These wonderful films engage learners by bringing science to life and relating it to real-life situations. They promote active learning, stimulate discussion in the classroom and have outstanding potential to assist teachers in implementing Curriculum for Excellence.”
