Science in song

Singing Science (published by AC Black) turns the science lab into the music hall with catchy tunes to help pupils remember key concepts. There’s a songbook and a CD with lyrics, backing track and musical scores. The songs introduce pupils to topics such as diet, rocks and gravity, and lesson ideas include science experiments, vocabulary practice and dance activities with every song - really useful for cross-curriculum planning.

Why is it useful?

Musical rhythm and repetitive lyrics help pupils to remember scientific facts. They can jog and run to the song Heartbeat to mimic how the heart works, while Feel the Force introduces them to mass, gravity and friction as they push, pull and twist to the music.
