Science superstars
The race is on to find the UK’s young scientists and engineers of the year in the National Science and Engineering Competition.
What is it?
The Big Bang UK Young Scientists and Engineers Fair, held at Birmingham NEC on 15-17 March, will host the finals of the competition, which sees budding scientists present their own STEM (science, technology, engineering and maths) projects.
The finalists will be able to showcase their work to prospective employers, universities, journalists and other VIPs. Runner-up prizes include trophies, medals and up to #163;2,000 across three age categories: junior (11-14), intermediate (15-16) and senior (17-18).
