The Scottish Rugby Union has appointed three more development officers to help bridge club-school links, bringing the total to 32 throughout Scotland. Alan Clark (Aberdeen and North East), Scott Crawford (FalkirkStirling) and Andy Henderson (Dundee) are taking up their new posts this month.

“The SRU development team is as committed and professional atask force as exists anywhere in Scotland,” boasted Douglas Arneil, SRU’s technical manager. “I am delighted at the latest appointments to bring both new blood and experience to our team.

“Each of the areas will benefit from these appointments and I know that the clubs and schools will work closely with their appointed development officer.”
