SDS’ demand that I focus on what they define as “amber pupils” shows a complete misunderstanding of the careers guidance profession.
As a careers adviser for over 20 years, I can now enjoy pupils being under the impression that you only see (or are stalked by) the careers adviser up to eight times a term because you are perceived as having possible difficulties. The rest will be left to fend for themselves over university choice etc or directed to an ill-equipped website. Thanks a bunch.
Angry careers adviser, name and address withheld.
