As an antidote to the Euro-centric maps we have all used, freely downloadable versions of the Peters World Map, which puts relative country size back into a more realistic perspective, sounds like a good idea. The images Teacher saw on a laptop appeared curiously muted in a washed-out blue, with none of the colour of the paper Peters Map (pound;7.95) or the Peters Atlas (pound;19.95). Still, in the hands of whiteboard-savvy teachers they could take on new life.
