HALAL meat will be back on Leicester school menus after a five-month break. The meat was withdrawn from 17 schools by the education authority after Muslim parents complained that the company supplying it did not use separate vans to transport it. The Leicester Federation of Muslim Organisations has now given its backing to a new supplier which has dedicated Halal vans and storage areas.
