The Kirk’s education convener personally would not sanction “unconditionally” the Taking Sex Seriously package that was in the recommended reading section of the guidelines for schools.

The Rev Jack Ladlaw said it treated moral questions in a “neutral, amoral” way. But safeguards were already in place. Schools had to talk through programmes with parents and allow them to look at the resources.
