Every secondary school in England, Wales, the Channel Islands and Northern Ireland is to receive information packs on sexual abuse from the NSPCC charity.
More than nine out of 10 teenagers in a survey of almost 2,000 said their sex education lessons did not include any information about abuse.
Eight out of 10 people did not know it was illegal for a 30-year-old man to sexually touch a 15-year-old girl. The charity wants the Government to change the content of sex education in schools to include teaching about sex in the context of relationships, peer pressure and the law.
