Sex education call attacked

EGYPT: The Egyptian culture minister, Faruq Hosni, has been attacked by conservatives and the education minister, Huseein Kamal Bahaeddin, for saying sex education should be on the curriculum. According to Mr Bahaeddin: “School curricul already contain scientific information on the functioning of the reproductive apparatus.”

The Egyptian education authorities fear sex education would encourage promiscuity among the young.
