The Schools History Project celebrates its 25th birthday at its ninth national conference to be held at Trinity and All Saints College, Leeds, June 27-29.

Speakers will include: Tony McAleavy, humanities adviser for Gloucester, on the understanding of interpretations in history; David Sylvester, SHP founding director; and Chris Culpin, new SHP co-director. Fee: Pounds 170 residential, Pounds 108 non-residential.

“Challenging history” is the theme of the Historical Association’s annual conference to be held at University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology, September 11-13.

Speakers will include: Tony McAleavy, humanities adviser for Gloucester, and Carmel Gallagher of the Northern Ireland Curriculum Authority. Over 50 workshops.
