Shun immoral vending profit

I am a primary school headteacher who would support a ban on vending machines selling unhealthy food and drink.

Since the introduction of the Government’s national fruit scheme we have all noticed that the children have started bringing in healthier packed lunches and even that their behaviour and concentration seem to have improved.

As for the argument about revenue from unhealthy snacks - there must be a better way of funding schools than jeopardising the health of our children John Illingworth Headteacher Bentinck primary school Alfreton Road Nottingham
