The October half-term is the most boring holiday of the year, according to research by chocolate company Kinder. Nearly half the children involved complained that it was too cold or wet to go out, while a third said there was nothing to do.
Most of those surveyed said they expected to spend the half-term watching TV, followed by the rival attractions of playing on the computer or fighting with siblings.
