Singing is now an integral part of teaching in eight out of 10 primary schools - but children miss out on the activity because of pressures on the curriculum, according to new research. Key stage 2 teachers feel under pressure to drive up results, and are less likely to sing with pupils, found the study by the #163;40 million Sing Up initiative.
