Sixth-forms get the cash

Local authorities are not holding back money meant for school sixth forms, according to post-16 education funding agency ELWa. Only one council held back more than the 3 per cent authorities are allowed to top-slice from sixth-form cash to cover their central administrative costs, the agency has told Assembly members investigating school funding.
