Teaching for 16 to19 year-olds in further education colleges is no better than in school sixth-forms, inspectors said this week.

The Office for Standards in Education found sixth-form centres in FE colleges offer good value for money and help to increase participation rates, with evidence that students prefer to mix with adults.
