Fife Council is investing in the integrated learning system SuccessMaker as part of its strategy to boost inclusion and attainment. All Fife’s 146 primary schools will get access to the software, which helps pupils progress at their own pace through literacy and numeracy skills.

Peter Wright, the study support co-ordinator for Fife Council, says: “We negotiated a licence with RM Learning that is slightly different.

It is not limited to schools, but all primary school-age children. This means that all pupils - whether they are attending mainstream school, in care, are long-term sick, travellers, in behavioural support units or excluded - will be able to access the software. This is important for ensuring equity of provision for our primary children.”
