It has been made by the council with the help of National Museums Liverpool and is aimed mainly at primary school children, but will be distributed to educational institutions, libraries and museums around the region and to London and Bristol councils, which also have links to the slave trade.
CDs looking at the city’s Irish history, its faiths and role as a port and world trade centre are planned for the run up to 2008 and Liverpool’s 800th birthday in 2007.
