Small firms bonuses for encouraging employees to open individual learning accounts

Small firms are to receive pound;500 cash bonuses for encouraging their employees to open individual learning accounts, Mr Blunkett said this week.

He said he wanted ILAs to be as common as supermarket loyalty cards. The Gvernment would test the idea that companies employing fewer than 25 people would get a pound;500 cash bonus to spend on additional training and development, if at least three-quarters of their workforce opened ILAs.
