The SynchroPC could be one answer for primary schools trying to stretch their computer budgets. The Tiny Education machine has two monitors, two keyboards and two sets of speakers, but runs off one base unit. The company says it allows two users to work independently without the cost of a secon computer. It costs pound;840 excluding VAT.

Meanwhile, the SynchroPC for Schools (pound;1,399 exc VAT), designed for primary teachers, provides 19 educational software packages including Primary Writer, Primary Database and Maths Explorer Number. For more details, go to www.tiny.comuk.
