Somerset College has introduced the eTracker electronic learning plan to help monitor, analyse and improve students’ performance. It measures performance against agreed personal targets, and data include grades, attendance and disciplinary issues. These can be called up on a single page by lecturers and tutors. Kristyn Woodward, senior tutor team leader at the college, said: “The students are really on board - so much so that they’re actually nagging their tutors for grades so they can see how well they’re doing on their attainment bars.”
