* Every Thursday lunchtime I run a drama club for children in my year group. They are enthusiastic, but there never seems to be enough time to develop their ideas. So one day I suggested that the following week they should bring in a packed lunch which we would eat in the classroom in order to save time.

Thursday duly arrived and as the lunch bell rang, I asked those who were not staying for drama to line up at the door. One boy, a club member, joined the line.

“Aren’t you having a packed lunch today?” I asked.

“Yes, Miss”, came the reply, “But I’m having it at home.”
